Gingerbread fantasy

December 22, 2013

It is said that gingerbread cookies originated from the era of Queen Elizabeth I. Her majesty once treated her noble guests in a dinner party a very special dessert. Each guest was presented with a gingerbread cookie, which was made in their own likeness. Such creative dessert soon caught on with many Europeans. This weekend, I went to IKEA to buy some gingerbread cookies in vain. It appears that Taiwanese are also fascinated by the lovely holiday icon. Well, I am considering making my homemade gingerbread cookies this time.
